This week’s Discovery Spark invites your Tiny Scientists to explore one of the coolest forces on Earth — gravity! With a simple drop test, kids get to observe how different objects fall and make predictions just like real physicists. Grab a ball, grab a feather, and let curiosity lead the way!

🧠 Talk About It
Encourage your Tiny Scientist to wonder:
Why do things fall to the ground?
What makes some objects fall faster than others?
What do you notice when a ball drops? What about a feather?
Let them predict, observe, and explain — that’s how science thinking grows! 🌟
🧪 Try This!
Drop a ball and a feather from the same height. Which one hits the ground first? Why do you think that happens?
This activity builds early understanding of gravity, air resistance, and observation skills. Don’t worry — kids don’t need the “right” answer. They just need curiosity!
💛 Keep It Going
After the drop test, try these simple extensions:
Drop more objects with different shapes or weights
Try dropping objects indoors vs. outdoors
Ask your child to sketch what they observe on the back of the coloring page
Every small spark leads to big discoveries.
