Light isnât just white â itâs full of hidden rainbows waiting to shine through! đĄâ¨When light bends, it splits into all the colors that make our world so bright and beautiful. Letâs explore how!

đ Talk About It
Ask your Tiny Scientists:
What colors do you see when sunlight shines through a glass or a puddle?
Why do you think we can see different colors?
What happens when you mix colors on paper versus when you mix light?
Encourage them to make predictions and explain their thinking â thatâs where real discovery starts! đŠđžâđŹ
𧪠Try It Out
Materials:Â flashlight or sunlight, CD, clear crystal, or glass of water
1ď¸âŁ Shine your flashlight or sunlight onto the CD (or through the glass of water).2ď¸âŁ Look for the rainbow that appears on the wall or surface nearby.3ď¸âŁ Move the light source or the object â notice how the rainbow shifts or disappears!
đ§ Tiny Spark Moment: Light bends, splits, and reveals all the colors hiding inside it â like a hidden rainbow. đ
đ Keep It Going
Try this gratitude challenge: Each family member names one âcolorâ of gratitude â something that brings them joy. đđđTalk about how, just like light, every color (and every person!) adds something special to the whole picture.
đ¸ Tag Us!
Weâd love to see your rainbows of discovery! Post your photos and tag @TinySparksLab using #FamilySparksFriday â your Tiny Scientist might inspire another family to see the world through a brighter lens. đŤ
